Did this for a friend, I am a treadhead by nature, comments are welcome. Because the model was older and had raised panel lines I had trouble with darkening them (I used a lead pencil) so any advice is welcome.
Looks good, miller 41 ! Great idea with the panel lines. I applaud an armor modeller tackling a plane with a canopy that requires so much masking. Good job !
Excellent work miller41!! This will be my next project…after building a couple models for other people, I’ll be building the Texan for myself as I was able to fly one this past summer ![]()
I think the panel lines look excellent! I’m planning on trying the same thing on my Phantom model.
How did you apply the pencil to the lines?

Have a #4 pencil (I Believe) that worked very well that I bought at an art supply store after reading something here on these forums, where i get most of my insights:-)
Thanks for the positive comments, I am my own worst critic.
NICE Work, I tried a pencil on panel lines once, seeing your results ,I think I’ll give it another try. Bob
Great job, miller! Fine work on a tough cage! I’ll have to try the pencil trick. A 4B I have should work wonders.
