I just wanted to post the latest pic of my PST T-54 tank in 1/72 scale.
I finished painting it here. Next, I’ll be applying a coat of Future and adding the decals to it, before I flatcoat it and weather. I’ll probably have it done in a day or so.
Comments are welcome. Thanks for stopping in to look at my work.
Yeah, I’m going to tone them down with a thick wash when I get to that point. Good eye. Thanks for keeping it real Tankmaster. I appreciate you keeping me on my toes.
No problem duke. Looks really nice. How was the fit on that kit? I’m considering building some of pst’s stuff. Yoiuc an get it for pretty cheap in some places.
Thanks Rick! Always glad to see your posts. Thanks for stopping in.
Thanks Tank! The fit on these tanks from PST are very good. Much better than the ACE kits, although many rivet counters state that the PST isn’t as accurate as the ACE kits. They go together well, and a easy to assemble. Be careful of the soft plastic though, it can cut easily when trimming parts… I love assembling PST kits! I’d say go for it. Well worth the money.
Looks good Mr Maddog! Can’t wait to see with decals, washes and drybrushing (if your going to do those). It’s good to hear your positive comments on the PST kit. Hopefully mine is in the mail or processing somewhere.
Looking sharp so far! I was going to comment on the very bright tracks, but I see that matter has already been addressed and you are poised to take action!
Thanks Jwest! Glad to see you stop in! I appreciate your comments.
Yeah, I can’t wait to see yours too when it arrives! And yes, I’ll be doing the wash, drybrush and decals and all. I especially have to tone down the bright-looking tracks.
Thanks J-Hulk! Your comments are most appreciated. Yeah, I saw the tracks looking real bright and realized that I’d screwed up. I was going to paint them black then apply a semi-drybrush of steel then go over it later with again with a wash. But I started to paint the steel, and just went ahead and finished it that way. I figured it would be no problem thickening up a wash and applying it on the tracks. It’ll probably be done sometime in the next day or so.
