Looks absolutely amazing so far. I’ll need a T34 for a diorama I’m planning soon, so this is great inspriation!

Thanks Florian and Tony. I haven’t gotten much done lately, but I think the hull is pretty much done, besides painting. I’ve started on the turret but not much to show for that yet.

I had a little spill of paint inside the hull as you can probably see, but most of it I was able to wipe off and the rest just kind of looks like a stain. The texture on the hull was probably over done, but now I know for the future.

That “spill” looks like what’s left of Private Konscriptovich… Every detail is a potential tale

Looking great! Keen to see how the textures come up under the uniformity of a primer, which will hopefully allay any reservations

Moving on from Draftdeovich Konscriptovich… I’ve been working on the turret. Not the best picture but as you can see I’ve gotten most of the inside done. The seat on the right side of the turret, presumably for the loader, is hanging from the turret side but also the gun… Doesn’t really seem very comfortable. :grimacing:

I have finished assembly but still haven’t taken pictures. I’m working on painting it right now.

Sorry about my failure to get pictures sooner. Here it is with paint and some of the track links installed.

I agree with Tojo – the green looks spot on. Good progress. Keep it up!

Is that rear engine hatch truly hinged, or do you have to fix it in the open position like that?

Thanks Tony and Tom. The green was Tamiya Olive Drab 2 spray paint, with some touch ups done with a mixture of AK Interactive 4BO and black around the areas where I had to mask. The turret inside roof is plain 4BO if I remember correctly.

Tom, the engine hatch isn’t hinged, so it will need to be glued in place.

I’ve been working more on the tracks. It has individual track links, and every link I have to carve between the connecting parts. I’m not sure if I put too much paint on them, or if it is the manufacturer’s fault. I feel like it’s most likely both. In any case I would probably replace them if I was doing it again.

Just a quick update - One side of the tracks is finished!
