Ok, maybe this should go on the decal forum but still it’s aircraft decals and I expect more people will see it here.
Anyone ever used decals from the French company of Syhart? Their stuff looks pretty awesome. I’m thinking of ordering several sets but wondered if anyone has any advice before I’m tempted to place an order and then pick up about a half dozen Mirage 2000s? [;)]
I recently ordered and received a set of Syhart Decals. Service was prompt, shipping time was as expected. The decals look great; very little excess decal film, near perfect color, in register. If you consider you can’t get the schemes the does anywhere else, and if you are dying to do a particular aircraft, they’re worth the money.
I read somewhere that Syhart recommends applying a thin layer of decal film to the decals before applying them to the model. Presumably, because they’re super thin. But it isn’t mentioned in the instruction for the set I bought. So it’s probably a good idea to ask.
Thanks F4F! I figured this was pretty much a shot in the dark but might as well give it a try.
I’ve recently developed an interest in brightly painted airshow planes and the French have done some beauties. Thanks again for the advice on overcoating the decals before using them.
And BTW welcome to the FSM forums!!!
Link to Syhart’s site fixed so it’s clickable- dunno why it didn’t work beforehand…
