Switch from armor to aircraft?

I don’t know if any of you have ordered from greatmodels before, but this is my 3rd time my box arrived and it was much bigger than I expected (I was only ordering paint and thinner stuff). Turns out there are 3 WWII aircraft kits in there (Haegwaw Focke-wulf 190D-9, 190A-5 & Trumpeter F4F=4) and a magazine for Scale Avaition modeling that I didn’t order along with my paint and stuff. Stuff is worth like $120+.

I’ve tried contacting their customer service before with no response - but this one might get their attention. You suppose I should start modeling aircraft too!!!

Maybe they are trying to get me to switch to aircraft? Dang…they could’ve at least sent me some good Dragon armor kits!

Keep em!

I’ve never had that happen with GreatModels but I did have it happen once with ModelPoint. Do the honorable thing, contact them and let them know you’ve got someone’s order mixed in with yours and see if you hear back. Imagine the poor guy who is NOT receiving his stuff because it’s in your box…If you don’t hear back from GM, well then you’ve got a clear conscience of having made the attempt to return what wasn’t supposed to be sent to you. You never know but that it could very well be your order the next time around with this or any other online supplier. [;)]

[#ditto] And good for you wbill76!

Ahh ok you guys are right… I let the evil modeller get ahold of me[:I]

I wasn’t going to just keep them…I’ll email greatmodels, but from my experience with them they’re not exactly quick to reply…if at all…to emails.
I was just surprised I got those un-ordered models AND my entire order or paints/thinners/etc. with the correct packing slip/invoice. Big mixup on thier part.

So thats where my order went ! Just kidding . It does make you wonder how often that happens .

Good luck in getting it straigtened out .

If after trying to get GM to take the un-ordered models back and they don’t take them back, then send them to the troops. Share the wealth.

Just a thought!

I usually get a reply in a day or two.

You’ve tried to get in touch with them and that’s all you can do. Maybe their [censored][censored][censored][censored]customer service will pay off for you this time.[(-D]

I wouldn’t plan on doing anything with the kits for a couple weeks if not months. The way GM works, they’ll probably want them back or payment for the kits then…

That’s what happened to me with a book club I belong to. They sent 4 preposterous vampire fighter novels geared towards females with my order. (which consisted of a book on Snipers, the Civil War, and US Tank Destroyer units in WW2) The extra books weren’t listed on my invoice, so it is still a wonder they got in the box. Long story short, they never responded to the quick email but 3 months later did send an invoice for them. I’m pretty sure I never had to pay for them…

The same thing happened to me when I ordered off the net. Now it is my LHS that I ordered off. When I recieved my HUGE paint kit I found that they slipped some extra colours and thinners. The next day after work I just simply returned them, letting them know what happened. One thing all of us must remember is that the people picking the order are human, mistakes will be made. Also if the items are not returned, and missing out of inventory, the company recupes the cost by raising prices, and we don’t want that. About the customer care though, who knows??

Do these companies not have a toll free number to call for quicker response?

Yes, you can leave a message with them anytime…
