With all the craziness of my kitbashes, I decided I needed to do an easy build to clear the cobwebs. Actually following instructions that are provided is such a nice change. This is the Revell F/A-18F and I will be doing this out of the box, except for the markings. I never did care for the Navy decommissioning the Wolfpack, so this one will be carrying the colors of VFA-1.[swg].
Thank you! For a person on a limited budget, I say this is a good investment. This is my second Super Bug and I really enjoy the recessed lines and the fit is pretty good as well. Yea, I give it a thumbs up.[tup]
Mucker,
I know I probably startled you, but it’s me.[swg] I swear![:-^]
Veeeery nice work on the family model super bug. I thought that you might do the whole thing in colored CAG type markings. VF-1 was always one of my favorite squadrons.
first time at doing this, but i am the biggest of the super bug, it was the first model that i had built and also love how the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) are finally replacing the old f-111 with the F/A-18 E/F but enoungh about that, the model is looking great you really need to post some picies when it is completed
I was going to do the whole thing in shades of gray and black, but I just couldn’t resist adding a bit of color from the VFA-41 decals that came with the kit. I just did a bit of surgery on them to make it a VFA-1 bird.
Still working on this one. Due the misplaced HUD, I had to scratchbuild one out of strip styrene and clear sheet plastic. I nearly went blind putting it together.[(-D]
Hey Eddie what’s up. This Super Hornet you’re building looks…well kinda normal.[%-)]. You feeling OK? Where is the other set of wings? orr…the other cockpit …or the other tail???
Yea, this is lookin’ a bit plain, I know.[swg] I had some withdrawls, so I dreamed this one up and slapped it together for a future project. A little Howard Hugnes feel to it, huh?[;)]
