super hornet finish

this is a 1/72 hasegawa f/a-18f super hornet which i finish a month ago it was a lil difficult in some spots like the intakes were leaving a big gap which i was gettin frustrated [banghead] but i got through it nicely at the end well here are sum pix of it

You whacking out some seriously nice blow pipes. This one is no exception. Especially like the weathering on this one. Very nice indeed.

…Guy

[#ditto] the weathering is awesome on this one! Well done. [tup]

i thought i got carried away with the weathering [:P] but thnx

That looks really good. The finish is great. This is inspiring me to build a Hasegawa 1/48 F/A-18F that I have in my stash.

If I may make a suggestion…it looks like the model is in a display case or something. I would take it out so that the camera flash doesn’t reflect off of the glass. Plus, I think you should post more pics…you can never have too many.

jajaja yea it is in a glass display case sorry bout that [:P] true u can never have enough pictures well hope u build ur super hornet soon and post sum pictures good luck

Very nice! [tup]

Great build! the F-18 isn´t one of my favourites planes, but I think you do a fantastic job on this model… The paint job looks great… don´t take this bad please, just some constructive criticism, and of corse this is my personal taste and opinion… I think that the weathring is a bitt overdone in the bottom, but again… this is a matter of personal taste, and I don´t know much about the U.S.N planes…

A great model for your shelves, congratulations!

Best regards

Jeremias

I’m one who thinks that a lot of weathering is overdone, but in this case I think it is pretty representative of an aircraft near the end of a carrier deployment. They can get pretty grungy with dirt, grime and fluids getting ground into the flat paint.

Mark

nice…i like it…even for its size! [:D]

yea i miss the tomcat too [:(][BH]

[tup] Very nice build. Thanks for sharing. I’m a 1/32 builder and am always amazed at the detail and fine work on the 1/72’s.

Cheers. [#toast]
