I would like to present the stories of SP gun stug IV, which is currently being renovated in Poland . It was extracted from the river during second attempt . First once tried to do it in the fifties, but in vain.
At present , reconstruction is coming to the end, but the museum historian under the direction of captain OGRODNICZUK face every step with the new problems .
At this place I would like to appeal to all Friends about help. They need manual to Stug IV/III ,especialy information dates about oil capacity in transmition and gun recoil cylinder) .Well it`s really possible return this stug to 100% efficient (Running condition)
Below I link to their web site (sorry now only in polish), more info ,You can find on 1-25 Scale Armor Forum in thread stug IV restoration ,where I keep all update , in english too .
Maybe somebody from Saumur ,Sisheim, Munster or from Parola could ask in museum. There are running stugs and panzer IV and I suspect they have to service vehicles.
Thank you for posting this very interesting story! It makes me happy to see that people are committed to bringing valuable armor like this back to life!
Can you comment on what some of the ideas or thoughts have been about the markings and numbers on the side of this StuG? They are very unusual, to say the leas! The numbering is unlike I have ever seen!
Do you have any information on what the experts think about the history of this vehicle?
On my web site is link to the crew and stug story ,unit etc.I hope ,when they finish, captain download more pics with original camo, and another documents .Now ,what can I help You ,that is translating this page to english,my poor english .

5th June 2009 stug`s engine run .
Since this moment is reached and subjected to further regulation.
Here is video of Maybach HL 120 TRM engine test in Poznań.
Thanks for the updates on a very nice restoration job.
Incidentally, did anyone notice the track tension and minimal track sag? In the second video, they executed a fairly long pivot. If the tracks had been as “loose” as depicted on many models, that track would have been thrown in an instant.
