I am building a plastic Italeri RSO tractor kit with a resin canvas cover. What do you recommend to use to make the resin cover stick to the plastic tractor bed?

Super glue. But usually a mechanical joint as well helps. Is there a way to hide a splice plate made out of a 1/2" square piece of pop can on each side inside?
