sterno's baby rules for painting/dio making

he guys, this is way off topic but with things being rather tense in the forums lately i thought maybe we could have a little fun and laugh at something. first off , congrats to stern0 for his wife is giving birth to a baby boy in november. secondly, as part of the fun i thought we could make up some rules his kid should be taught/should follow when it comes time for daddy to “teach” him about modelling. i’ve come up with these 3. hope you’ll “play” along guys. [:D]

rule #1…dont sniff the glue!!!

rule #2 dont eat the glue!!!

rule #3 dont glue dad’s toys to the bench!!!

jim barton: came up with this one

Rule #4: Don’t paint the doggie and/or the kitty with Daddy’s airbrush!

Congrats on the little drape-ape, SternO…

From my own experiences:

Don’t “help Daddy paint faster” by taking off all the paint-bottle lids.

Don’t “help protect baby sis” by taking off all the spray can nozzles and “hiding them from her” so she “won’t spray in her eyes”.

Don’t test Daddy’s knife blades for sharpness on Mommy’s new kitchen chair cushions.

Don’t use Daddy’s razor saws for modifying steel Tonka Trucks into “Convertables”.

If you want your room painted, wait until Daddy can get to Sears and buy wall paint.

The 1/35th scale Army trucks are NOT for hauling Nestle’s Quik.

The airplanes will NOT fly.

You guys are toooooo much!!! Great rules though…my sign for the work space is getting bigger…might have to make a video presentation…Thanks for the congrats Col. I’m in for some BIG changes! hope you guys are avalible 24/7 for advice![:D]

guess no one’s interested but you and me hans…thanks for playing our game! [:D]

Thanks Camo!!! after a day like today it was a breath of fresh air!!![:D]

no problem…maybe more people will respond or maybe they think its stupid…who knows but i figured someone would get a kick out of it! [tup]

I don’t have rules posted anymore, just a sign that reads, “No Admitance Without Escort. USE OF DEADLY FORCE IS AUTHORIZED”…

[(-D] Yep, thats all you need Col. makes things simple and right to the point![(-D]

Congrats and hope you are getting a little sleep. Our daughter was 15 months old the first time she slept through the night[zzz] When the little one gets a little older…

No matter how tempting it is don’t use your Black Cat firecrackers and dad’s 1:35 scale armor collection to reenact famous battles.

When you have company at the house don’t ask them if they want to see the “toys” that dad is always playing with.

Don’t use your dad’s model enamel to make cool tattoos for your little brother or sister.

yeah…but what fun is that. maybe a little corny…but iw as just hoping to lighten the mood a little bit! [:D]

LOL! [(-D] Good tips Hans!

Congrats Stern0! [#toast] I am a November birthday myself.

Do not take Daddy’s models out to the sandbox to play with.

Do not use Daddy’s models for “target practice” by throwing the football at them.

Do not play “Demolition Derby” with Daddy’s model cars.

Do not color Daddy’s instruction sheets with crayons; do not paint Daddy’s models with watercolors “to make them look pretty.”

One more word, Stern0: You’ll be absolutely amazed at how fast kids grow! One day he’s in diapers, and the next thing you know, you’re helping him choose a tuxedo for the senior high-school prom.

Good Stuff Jim! Thats what a keep hearing…in the blink of a eye…Many thanks!

dont uses mommy’s lipstick to paint daddy’s figures! [:D]

Do NOT use Daddy’s CA glue and accelerator to glue the cat to the dog.

HVH: “Tresspassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again”. I think it was my wife that gave me that one.

I am enjoying what everyone has posted. Making me giggle on my first day off. Thank you very much. I needed it

Cheers

Dave

[(-D][(-D][(-D][#toast]

Promise us that you will let us know right away if you find something that works out great for both the baby and our model hobby. Maybe white diapers or baby powder can be used in the winter diomara or something like that… [tup]
