I remember a couple years ago there was a kit produced of 1/48 scale WWII airfield equipment, who makes that kit and is it still available?
I need the starter cart used by the Luftwaffe.

The kit you are looking for is made by Wingz. Go to http://www.greatmodels.com/ and do a search (left side of home page) for airfield equipment.

I remember that airfield equipment kit was injection molded and had more things to it than just the starter. I had no idea I would ever need such a kit until I bought my camera and made a photography base.
As much as I hate resin kits I will probably get one of those Wingz starter carts.

Matrixone, I believe the kit you’re referring to was the Airfield Equipment set released by Monogram some time back. It had an American airfield tractor that could also be used as an RAF vehicle, with a bomb trolley, and it had a Luftwaffe starter cart in it as well. You can still find it on eBay and at model shows and swap meets for a modest amount. I paid $5 for mine last year.

That has got to be the kit I was thinking about, too bad it is out of production now,
I could make use out of it.
