I know that we complain about not having figures to go with our models, I wanted to let you know about this.
These are the Stormtrooper gaming miniatures that came with the game. The come in grey plastic and some assembly is required. I am also working on the rebel squad which are in the Endor scout uniforms. Now they are about 1/48-50 scale so you are limited to which models you can use them with, although I think these guys would look great with the Bandai AT-ST. These are from FantasyFlight and you can get expansion sets of Wookies, Snowtroopers, Rebel Fleet troopers, etc. I found mine on amazon, check them out if you like.
Thanks, they are actually a little rough. I will be using these for gaming so I did not spend much time on them. I have mold release lines that I did not bother with and some arms do not fit as well as i could have made them.
I have not played it yet, but no it is not like D&D. It is a table top game that uses the miniatures to move around and shoot the opponents miniatures. All using range rulers and dice to determine hits. Obviously it has more rules and such, but that is pretty much it.
They look pretty darn good to me for quick, cheap, and dirty paint jobs! You might consider adding a little static grass or ‘snow’ to the bases - it’s quick and easy and adds a lot to the looks.
I’ve seen people use the old West End Games SW figures in several dioramas. Gaming figures work really well in stuff like this.
There are a couple D&D type SW games too. I played a bloodthirsty assassin droid based on HK-47 from the Old Republic computer games in one. My favorite memory was when the party presented me as tribute to Jabba the Hutt and I grabbed one of the guard’s guns and started shooting up his palace. It ended with Jabba screaming ‘THAT’S A [cnsod] ASSASSIN DROID NOT A PROTOCAL DROID YOU [cnsod]!!!’ before his security force field went up and his throne sled popped though a secret door.
