Star Wars AT-ST

Hi, I just received my Bandai Star Wars AT-ST. Are there anybody here that had built this model before? I am just anxious to start because I discovered that the instructions are in japanese.

Bandai AT-ST

I’ve built this kit. It’s a great model. Don’t worry about the instructions being in Japanese, the kit practically falls together out of the box. I suggest lightly sanding the joints if you’re going to paint it and still want it posable.

Thanks Klik.

Another question about this kit. Do you suggest me to paint it before assembling?

Ha!!! Fantastic!!! I love it.

Well, since she’s all the same colour I’d paint 'er like a tank, assemble as much as possible and just use an airbrush or spray can to do her all at once. It beats painting the parts on the sprues, then repainting the spots where the parts attached, and then scraping the paint off the places where you want to put cement. I dunno if it’s the best way but it is the simplest way and that works for me at least.

Thanks Gamera. I will do the same thing that you do. I think it’s easier.

I am working on a similar one, I’ll have the check the box as to the manufacturer to see if it’s the same but I know my instructions were in english so it may be the AMT/ERTL.
Here is my build thread if you are interested.

I’m doing the same as Gamera mentioned, paint it like a tank and then weather the hell out of it.

Your model looks very good qlabs. I can’t say it’s the same but I don’t think because I dont think my model was there fifteen years ago.
