I’ve had this kit for a while. It’s a garage kit made of resin.
It’s a builders kit, the parts need a bit of cleaning up. For resin the surface is in good shape.
Starting on the body after cleaning.
I cut down the top and bottom supports, the seemed too tall.
Next I had to find the center of the top and bottom. I did this with 4 pieces of tape I spaced 90deg apart. then marked the center an 4-5 guild marks.
That worked well.
Cool. Both this and Nomad were the same prop with some diffrent parts.

Yah M-4 is parts from Nomad,Sargon, and the cloaking device.
A good example of reusing parts.
The weapon emitters are on:

Frankly I liked his other robot (Rayna) better… [ht]
All joking aside very cool, I’m still amazed how much off-the-wall stuff you can get these days. Any idea on what scale this is? In any case nice work there!!!

Thanks, Rayna was easy on the eyes for sure!
No scale is listed. If I had to guess I’d say 1/6? M-4 is about 4-5 inches.
I built the creators NOMAD a few years ago and it uses the same parts, just like the real one.
They are close to the same size.

1/6th sounds about right. Looks good! Glad HAL is there to keep an eye on him.
Same as the cloking device, hmm. I guess it’s easy to find a use for a ball.

Not just a ball! 2 truncated cones also!
Not much progress, some sanding and repriming.

Disaster today!
M-4 had a gravity induced spontaneous disassembly.
I had gotten a coat of aluminum on M-4 and had sanded some spots. I put him aside to prepare the paint, and off the table it went.
The Earth with all of its complex fields within which it was formed sacrificed it’s immorality. Entropy ultimately rules.
It’s been reconstructed and re-primed. Take that Entropy!

Yes, he does look good! Great recovery from the accident.
I wonder if you could make some fake Rytalin and put it in a little bag like the episode and hang M-4 from the ceiling holding it.

Great idea to make a bag of rytalin!
I painted the top and bottom bright silver, the back of the emiiters clear red, and attatched everything.

M-4 is done.
I was going to make a wooden display stand for him, but then I thought I needed a larger TOS alien planet setting for some built and future projects.
This is the 1st cut. The ground needs to be reworked with some sand and The rocks are too flat on the top, but I think it works.
Any more close ups to these two? I was wondering how much they retooled from the original to the TMP one.

These are from a few years ago:
The only differences are:
The Phaser is removed, all they did was put a block over the phaser in the mold so the top of Spocks hand is very wide.
The base is truncated before the snakes.
Spocks shirt is lengthed and the Bio monitor is added.
Everything else is the same. Jamie over at the R2 blog site had a great entry on the molds and what was needed to bring them back to original condition.

Thanks Gamera!
It’s taken years to get all that stuff.
Thats one of 4 shelf units, all filled.
