In a word. . . . . Awesome !
I can’t wait to see the next pictures. [8D]
Outstanding! I gotta have me wunna them! [:D] Are you kitting this?
Thanks Woody and Steven.
No kit this time[sigh] maybe next time. Right now I’m re re re-attaching the right wing[censored] concrete floors and plastic ARE NOT a good combination.
Matt
Excellent…excellllllent…Maxx! I love it too…great job,
Regards, Dan
I think that is Great, Stupendous, Excellent, Awesome!!! I try to cover all bases. I am curious about how you started this scratchbuild? Are all those individual pieces of shaped styrene or is some of it carved? Would like some type of detailed starting block. I ahve been thinking of scratchbuild a Sci-Fi ship just unsure on whether it will be my own design or ST or SW. I am trying to collect the different ways modellers have started.
wasnt that ship featured in a ST:DS9 episode because it looks familiar and wasnt Perigrin also the name of Chakotey’s ship in Star Trek Voyager ? oh and if nobody noticed the engine on the right side is longer than the left so you might need to shorten it a little tiny bit more.
Yep, it’s the same class ship in both cases.
Thanks guys. This was only seen in DS9 and as far as I can tell there may or may not be a studio model of it. I haven’t been able to confirm the photo I found as a model or CG.
Snoopy; It is all from sheet stock and a little tube stock. Lots of lay out and reference.
And I did notice the exaust mis match. Part of the problem when doing all the pre fit. It was corrected and will look alot better in the next pics.
Again thanks,
Matt
actually Maxx it was used in the begining of the first season of Voyager during the Series premier episode Care Taker because they plainly show a Perigrin class of ship which was commanded by Chakote.
Wasn’t That the larger ship (Peregrine Class) not the fighter? The fighter is only a two man ship.

I’ve filled all the seams and added all the tiny surface detail so today is the day for primer and if all goes well base coat.[:-,]
Matt
Primer is on. Painting ENGAGED[:D]
Matt
What color you using? Can’t wait to see her. Still want one!![:D]
If I match the CG image it would be in metalic grays. I picked up some RAF gray and Canadian voodoo gray for the base colors. I’ll see what I can come up with when mixing. I counted at least 7 colors in all. Now that I’m too far into it I wish I had kitted it.[sigh] I did however pickup what I need for my next build.[}:)]
Matt
Kit it and I’ll buy one for sure.
If I build another Peregrine it will be 1:48th scale and if I do that I will most likely kit it. The painting on this one is going great and I hope to have some pics up soon. While paint sets I’ve started build #2 for this GB. Having so much fun I’m not ready to stop yet.
Matt
I’m looking forward to seeing those pictures. Build number two? What are you building next?
Here are a couple of paint in progress pics.

And a sneak peek at build #2.

Matt
Matt,
I think it is great! You said it was sheet styrene. I was wondering how do you get the nicely rounded edges? Every time I try to file or sand styrene edges, they never come oout looking like round dowel edges. Did you have any problems of the styrene de-laminating while filing/sanding? I have been thinking about scratchbuilding a starship but it is a little to late for this GB. Maybe the next one. I have seen some sketches of ships and amazed how you get the nice detail from these sketchs that show detail blurred inspots. My hat goes off to all doing this group build. Matt this is just amazing!
