I just received this kit as a birthday gift from my family. It is pricier than I would have spent on my own, but I will gladly recieve it as a gift!

True details has a set of replacment resin guns which might be worth getting, i hear the kits ones are not brilliant.

Still, this looks like a fun kit to build- I may get one.
Like that; “frauds” instantly reminds me of that bogus ounce bottle mail order purchase I’d made of so-called Official-brand “forumla” paints in 1969 - anybody here remember them?
The Offical paint line frequently published in Scale Modeler was too enticing, spring that year bought 10 Luftwaffe paints for dozen bucks cash, this when y’all could do that via U.S. Mail without lotta worry it would be purloined.
Breathlessly opening the box after they’d arrived saw one was leaking, two dried out, rest but just one or two having consistency of chalk. I’d always suspected they were “reformulated” Pactra paints given they’d smelled & behaved just like them; this may be why not long after that I gave up on scale modeling, wouldn’t resume again till December 1977.
Looking forward to this build. I love unique kits!
