Squadron White puddy thinner?

Does anyone know what is a good means of thinning Squadron White Seam Filler?

Thanks,
Bwog

I have never tried to thin that stuff. I would recommend you put some little dabs on a piece of plastic such a margarine lid and try various thinning agents such as water, alcohol, paint thinner, mineral spirits, laquer thinner, etc. When you find one that seems to be compatible, put some of the resultant mixture on a piece of scrap styrene plastic and see how it dries. Does it shrink or crack, refuse to dry at all?

I use isopropyl or denatured alcohol. It works pretty well.

Acetone works best, but use a diluted form. Nail Polish remover with acetone works great.

You can also use Toluene (spelling), which is the main component of Humbrol’s Liquid Cement. Be wary though, it eats into the plastic in a BIG way.

I think you can also use acetone based Nail Varnish remover, but check that it works, and that it doesn’t marr the plastic before slopping it on! [;)]

Finally found the reference I was looking for:

There was another thread devoted to this a while back that I had printed out to keep in my files.
