I’ve been in this hobby for many years and the one thing I find is that on any given day of all the information we are flooded with, only one percent may be worth a darn! I stand with you on this subject. And you find it in reviews on new products and kits. If you are doing a review on a kit, build the kit. That is why it was given to you. It wasn’t given to you so you could try out that new product from Eduard. A kit review should be done as out of the box. I have seen this right here in FSM. Well, these parts didn’t look right so i used AM parts from Blah Blah Corp to achieve that proper stance. SHOW US. Use the struts, use the bulkheads, use the seat/s. If it is not right then you can say the manufacturer did not get it right. How to books mostly show off this or that and are not really how to. Yes we may find a few how to tips we can walk away with but, for the cost of what we paid. Some publishers out there are not modeling specific but maybe they are acft, armor, auto, so anything that comes in related to the theme is published. No matter how to it isn’t. Now a modeling magazine should have more control, if the review isn’t a complete review, sorry jack resubmit. It is all about SHOW US!!!
