Just got around to checking the Sprue Brothers website for their Deal of the Day and received a redirect to a page with French text asking for verification that I am not a robot. Just to make sure, is anyone else having problems accessing them?
I just made an order a few minutes ago without any issues.
I got the usual email for weekend sales a little while ago. I clicked the image at the top of the email and it took me to their website, URL is http://store.spruebrothers.com/
Thanks for the reply, Mopar, it’s much appreciated.
I can access the site by picking out the Deal of the Day from a list of Google search returns, but I get the French page every time I try the www.spruebr*thers.com address (modified so that it doesn’t become an active link). My anti-virus and malware scans came back negative, so I’m not sure where the redirect is coming from.
Lesson learned - bookmark the page I use most often!
Thanks, Baron - your link works fine for me, but I’m a masochist at heart, so I tried the primary address (without the store) because it normally lists all of the new kits that have been added to their stock on any given day. The alternate “new release” page is laid out a lot differently, but it looks like I’m just going to have to learn to like it. ![]()
I was getting some strange stuff as well but Baron’s link worked.
Looks like the What’s New page is down right now.
I too have https://store.spruebrothers.com/ bookmarked.
I just tried www.spruebrothers.com and got a 403 error. All these years, I never noticed the “store dot” in the URL.
And you’re right, Google’s links are all messed up. Seems like the links with ‘store dot’ work, rest don’t.
Just confirming all the stuff you reported is same here.
It was the same for me, but I did manage an order.
I’m seeing the same thing.
It looks as if everything is back in working order again.
