SPRAY PAINTS. Commercial or strictly model

“I pretty much always use a spray can for primer coats and generally prime the kit right on the sprues.”
“I hate firing up the airbrush for priming so I use Tamiya spray can primer…”

Wait! You PRIME your models?

I’m kidding. Sort of.

In all my time prior to getting back (and I haven’t DONE anything yet), I have never once primed a model. I just cleaned them off and went to town.

I don’t spray on the sprue, because primer helps identify seams and problem spots that might need work after assembly, plus the primer smoothes out any small glue marks and creates a nice smooth surface for the paint.

Agree, Barbatos Rex has done extensive testing on most hobby paints and it a great source of information.
