Splinter camo?

what colors would be the best to use? These’s really no wrong answer to this question I was just wondering what everyone used. I’ve got the panzer aces splinter camo. But the base just doesn’t look as right as it should. So I’d ask the question and see what I get. Tks guys

Are you talking about German armour camoflage or aircraft?

Could be wrong, but I believe that set is for figures/uniforms.

The URL below is linked to a blog which covers painting the Heer splinter pattern using this particular set of paints. The figure he paints is quite small (15mm), but the techniques are applicable to a wide range of scales. It’s clearly written and has some useful reference photos to boot.

Using a commercially-available set of colors takes a lot of the guesswork out of the task, but remember that those colors are just starting points. Whether you’re talking about painting the splinter camo pattern uniform cloth, or the splinter camo on an airplane, you’ll want to look at your base colors, and then take into account the effects of weathering, and of shadows and highlights. So, that color might not look right, out of the box. But looking at your subject, will the color be right when you lighten it for fading or highlights? when you darken it for shading? That’s how I’d look at it.
