Hiya,
Well my friends, this is what she looks like so far. Like I had mentioned in my earlier post, the interior is completely dry brushed except for the Black that I used as primer and the first light coat of Brit Inter. Green by Floquil. The seat and stick were not finished at the time that these photos were taken.
I actually had fun trying out this method. I apologize for the grainl look to the pix[:p] [;)] Thanks sis…!!!
Hopefully I can post more pix as I go along with the build. The interior looks better in person… Seriously[;)]
Hiya Tankmaster, tigerman,
Thank you for the kind words…
Rick,
I do apologize, but she had taken the pix and she still is not quiet sure how all the gadgets work…[:p]
Right now I have the halfs together but when I put in the floor and bulk head assembly, the yupper bulk head and canopy do not fit properly.
It seems when I attach the canopy, it hits the yupper bulk head. So it looks like I will have to do some sanding. I really dont remember any fit problems in this area when I bult the Mk.VB though. [:(]
T-34& pingtang,
I am glad that you like what I have done so far… Hope the rest of the kit goes as well.
Flaps up, Mike
Hiya neudog,
I first sprayed the over all interior flat black. Then I sprayed a real light coat of British inter, green which was from Floquil.
After the above was dried, I then started to dry brush Poly Scales Brit inter. green. This is still a a lil darker but not as dark as Floquils interior green. This was the base coat for the high lighting. I then took MMs RAF Sky type “S” and this is what used for the high lighting.
Over all I think it turned out basically how I envisioned it[;)]. Bout time something came out how I planed it…[;)][:p].
Hiya Steve-O,
You da MAN… Thank you for showing me this technique a while back. So I take it that you like it??[;)]
Well if all goes well, next Monday you’ll be able to see it.
Flaps up, Mike
Hiya Mike,
Glad you liked it my friend. So far she is a joy to build. The only snag that I see is where the rear canopy meets the bulk head. For some reason the bulk head takes fit of the contour of the side walls but when the canpoy is attached, the front section of the frame rest on the yupper section of the head rest.
O’well I guess its off doing some more dry fitting and sanding. She’ll be fine.
Thanks again.

heya butz, lookin really really good. To make sure I am following ya, you painted black first then in panel shading style you painted the greens? Looks like you have to clean up that instrument panel a tad too, I see errant red paint. The dry brushing all around is excellent and really makes the whole thing. I am intersted in trying new ways to do pits. Shoot me off an email with little more of an explanation.
