The manufacturer is unknown from China. The main material used is cotton, and the embroidery is AM from a generic brand. [;)] I apologize to those of you who don’t know what the heck I’m talking about. (I believe this is one of Tom’s favorites)
In case you’re actually interested in the model, it is 1/72 Tamiya with:
Aires detail set
Eduard PE
Squadron Vacuform canopy
True details resin wheels
Repositioned rudder and tailplanes
The decals are from Eagle Strike, Techmod, Tally Ho and Hasegawa. Other than that it’s straight OOB.
Comments and critiques are welcome, and if you want to tell me about the model that’s cool too. [:D]
Well Tanky, you’ve outdone yourself this time. However, it’s a little busy for my tastes. Less is more, IMHO. The simpler the better.
Now about that spit. WOW! I’m a 48th guy myself, and I love me some detail work, but JEEZ! You’ve packed so much detail into a tiny kit like that. I am impressed. You did a great job, and the presentation is superb. Where did you find that mirror? Ah great work. Got more comming for the CBI group build??
Yes, it is one of my favorites, but I shelved mine to finish working on a Hase Mk Vb in 1/32 scale with American markings.
My only comment is that is if you did not reveal that it is 1/72, I believe that you could have easily stumped us, thinking it to be at least 1/48 scale with the exhaustive detail you did!
Nice work on the Spitfire. The detailing is superb. The pilot must have really poured on the “G’s” while chasing a 109 and bent the engine mounts upward.
Ok,Ok, now did you HAVE to let us know it was 1/72? Great! As if I didn’t feel inadequate enough. I guess I’ll sulk back to my workbench and try to make something 1/48th kinda, sorta, not really as worthy. Honestly…nice work. Just don’t do a 1/48th SAAB Viggen will ya, let me have my own little victory.[;)]
Very nice work, Tanky. Just outstanding. What makes it even more impressive to me is the scale- that’s some very detailed work. And the sheer amount of it- wow. It looks fantastic.
