Spare parts depot?

Hey guys.

I was looking for an upper hull replacement for my SU-85 and remember that some years ago someone had a parts clearing house for model kits and replacement parts but fro the life of me I can’t remember the name of the site.

It was all charity kinda stuff.

You request a part and in return you send them something.

I thought it was spare parts depot but that gets me nowhere.

Any ideas?

Wish I knew… I’m in the hurt locker lookin’ for a Monogram F-80 rear fuselage…

Don’t know how hard it is to arrange, but couldn’t the forum set up a sticky thread for spare parts/wanted bits/free to good hom etc?

I’m looking for a set of rubber band merkava III tracks, posts get a quick look but no replies, and rapidly disappear off the page never to be seen again [sigh]

I’d reckon that the “Junkyard” would get turned into a trade/buy/sell fourum pretty quick (some folks just can’t follow instruction), and FSM frowns on that… I did get away with a “Free to Good Home” once though, with an extra copy of Shep Paine’s diorama book I had… I didn’t want any money or any other compensation for it, not even shipping, so that’s probably why it flew…

I tried a “Parts Wanted” thread for that above-mentioned F-80 as well, but it was the same thing, lotta looks, no offers…

Yer looking for this:

Think I bought some stuff on Ebay from that guy… Can’t be sure though… But one was an M109 howitzer that turned out to be a toy, rather than a built kit…

Never used it but found this a whileback

I’ve used both, all Todjager required was reimbursement for postage and asked for some donations if I had any (spare parts someone else was looking for). J-Marc just asked for postage reimbursement. Both time, postage ran me a buck or two and the price of a stamp.

This looks like the site.

However, it looks like no one’s been there in awhile.

I like the fact that it’s supported by IPMS.

Looks like they are on the up and up.

Now, I will drop them a line and wait.
