Space Shuttle Enterprise First Flight Diorama HELP!

Hi All.

I posted this in the space section and thought maybe I need to get it into the diorama section.

I am in the finishing process of my tribute to the first flight/ glide test of the Space Shuttle Enterprise. I would like to get some ideas on the base I am planing. I would like to make a desert base and I don’t know weather to make like a sand base diorama or get an aerial photo of a desert (that seems very hard to find). Let me know what you guys and girls think.

Thanks

Photo of the model that is almost finished.

What if you just hang the up with the desert flight photo in the background? Obviously photoshop out the planes themselves. Or if you don’t want to do that, maybe use a mirror for a base.

Type in: http://images.google.com

Then: space shuttle landing photos

(There are more than a million photos.) Enjoy.

Try google earth or maps of Edwards AFB that will give you an idea of what you might want to do. Are you doing it gear down on the ground or flying over/on approach for landing You can also go to NASA/Dryden Flight Research Center website. Good Hunting
