Well thanks to Chris I pulled out an old kit I had in my stash for I guess over 7 years, of the Space Cruiser Yamato from the old TV show Starblazers. This kit is a 1/1000. I would have to say it’s about 11" long.
Well here is an update on the Argo. So for so good. I am still puttying and sanding so this is not the black base coat. Seems like Flat Black bring out the defects more.
I don’t know how you guys do these so fast. I putty and sand and putty and sand and paint wait 24 hrs putty and sand paint and another 24 hrs and so on. What am I doing worng ? LOL [:P] [:P] [:P]
Well some more paint. I used Model Master “wood” for the deck and I will mask it off and repaint it black. I still have some seems to fix, but it’s coming along.
Oh good boy… You are doing the deck “tan” too… I think I have started a trend… We are lucky that we dont have Star Blazer purits that nit pick about every detail, like we do in the Star Trek modeling world!.. Keep up the great work mate!
It’s all you Chris. All I remember about the Argo is that it was Red on the Bottom and a Blue/Grey on top. I like what you did with the wood look "Tan ". It might look like and is LOL that I am just about copying you Chris. What can I say. I like your work.
No, no, I dont mind you copying… In all honesty, I just prefer it with a tan deck… I understand that it isnt supposed to be, but I kinda wanted mine to stand out from the rest, and felt that it would give it a more real ship feel…
Post more pics, I am enjoying it!..
ps… why do you call it the Argo?.. Is that what its called in the english version?.. The red Japanese on the box says Yamato…
