Looked EVERYWHERE!!! Wonder if anyone knows a source I haven’t seen. Found some for a 200 series but it looks a tad different (winglets and other subtle differences) and it a different length than the 700 I want to make. Any help is appreciated a ton!!! Thanks!
Not sure I have not used them either. I contacted a guy who has agreed to sell me some after speaking to his customer who he made a set for originally. They are not in “production” but he made an exception! [:D]
Thank you guys for the input & searches! Much appreciated!!!
Most of the decals that you get I believe are silkscreened, especially where there are several kits being produced, its one of the quickest ways to mass produce. I used to work for a sign company and we did a lot of silk screening for some large camper manufacturers.
One type of decals that I used recently were laser jet printed; the ones I used for the United Airlines logos on the 787 were laser jet printed. They came on a solid sheet and required a lot of trimming around the decal. They are also really thick and it took a couple of coats of decal solvent to get them to settle down into the shallow recesses on the tail. There were also some silk screen decals, from what I have experienced, silk screen are of higher quality; but can be very brittle.
Others may have had other experiences, those are just what I’ve had.
Suggest you try Vantage Flyer for airline decals. Times he has them in stock, and other times he has to make the decals. He has made many, many airliner decals for me and I have always be thrilled with them. email:questions@vinage flyer.com
