Now that is an interesting kit. I’ve been interested in wheeled combat vehicles lately, I just ordered a couple of JGSDF wheeled vehicles because they caught my eye. I may have to add this one to the wish list. Great link, Zokissima!
That one’s going on my wish list too. Thanks, Zokissma.

I’m glad to see an Italian model company taking an interest in Italian armor models once again (they have an excellent M13/40 and Semovente). They started the wheel route with the 8-rad and most recently with the 6-rad. Perhaps they are now looking to fill the wheeled AFV niche that has been missing in modeling. They’ve already been the leader in wheeled support vehicles for decades (leader as in depth of their line, not quality of the kits).
Why does the PMMS review say this is sure to be a hit with allied modelers? Weren’t these things overwhelmingly employed in the Italian and German armies? Or did I miss something?
Anyways, it’s great to see this vehicle in a quality kit. I had a few in my 1/285th scale DAK wargaming collection, and I always liked the look of them, preferring their lines over the German ACs.
[:D]that kit looks like a good one,i like aroured cars, and it comes with rubber tires, not the plastic ones,if more companys would use rubber tires in kits i think the kits will be better.[:D]
Looks like it will be a good kit. I think Im gonna get this one.
Actually, it says it will be a hit with Axis modellers. I would consider this kit, considering I’ll never do another Italeri AFV with vinyl tracks after my experience with their LVT 4(A).
Not always. When Dragon entered the scene with their modern Soviet armor line in the early 1990s, they included vinyl tires with the BRDM-2/3 and BTR-70/80 armored cars. The vinyl had a tendancy to split over a time or the vinyl started to melt the plastic hubs where the unpainted plastic contacted unpainted vinyl.
Tamiya has traditionally included vinyl tires (good quality ones) in their military wheeled vehicle line (except some of the older Jeep and armored car kits).
Yeah-Rob there are nasty oils coming of that vinyl-wonder if a hot water and grease buster would help.

I’ll pass myself, but it’s good to see them coming out with unique products as oppossed to the usual suspects.
It’s good to see something different coming out! Hopefully someone will come out with some PE sets that can enhance the look of the vehicle, but it does look like a nice kit with possibilities. Semper Fi, Mike
I’m glad to see this kit coming on the market. It seems like Italeri can always be counted on to release something different. This kit is no exception.
I’ll definitely be picking one of these up. Could we be so lucky that Italeri might have plans for a Sahariana (or two) somewhere down the line? I’ve always wanted to work one into a diorama but the Crielmodel offerings are a bit too expensive.
If you’re not familiar with the Sahariana:

I totally agree. In many subjects they are the only way to go. Quality is ok while not excellent, but they’re cheaper. Also it’s one of the few companys whose kits are well distributed around México (many stores, many kits, good prices). I dont’ know if theis is true for other countries.
That armoured car looks very, very cool. And the camo patterns are interesting. Also companies tend to do better jobs on subjects about their countries.
