I am pretty lucky to be able to live 20 minutes from a good collection of military vehicles in CFB Borden.
I made a trip out last weekend and took some pics to share with you folks.
They have a pretty good collection of vehicles mainly from WW2 but some modern stuff too.
Alot has changed since I was last there. Alot of the vehicles have been repainted and are in the process of being placed in various places around the base. Some the stuff is in rough shape but it seems they are trying to preserve most of it.
There was a few I missed. I am not sure where the Panther went and a few others are elsewhere it seems. I will have to make another trip and see where everything is now.
Anyways feel free to look at my pics.
Enjoy!

Great pics.Where exactly is this again?
Pretty neat pictures. The only thing that I don’t like about these restored vehicles is that they aren’t weathered, and aren’t really good for duplicating weathering affects. Except the bird poop on the Stuart. That is so good weathering that I am sure to recreate on my own [:p]

Borden is military base located about 20 minutes from my home town of Barrie, Ontario. Its about an hour north of Toronto.
Its was where the RCAF was born and also where Canada’s armoured forces got their start. As such it has alot of vehicles on display.
Its mainly a training base now with no operational units there except I think a helicopter squadron.
Cool. I like the Pak guns and the Hetzer. Weird paint job on her though. Nice to see a Valentine also. No Crusaders?
[:D]cool pics, the last time i was at borden was 30 years ago,i realy like the crab, now theh is a cool tank, thanks for the pics.[:D]
