This is the way that I found to make zimmerit, with a soldering iron , a spring and an Olfa blade. Warning with children around.

CHILDREN WARNING: Do not try this without the supervision of an adult.

You can use the same iron, but without a spring and blade to make a hit in a “schurzen” like this

For you engrave the zimmerit on plastic, it´s clip on the coil. When the soldering Iron hot up, the blade hot up too.

Ok that makes since of course .But i was looking at the pictures and i convinced myself that you were making the zimmerit impressions with the edge of the spring . I must have been tired or something last night , the blade makes more since this morning . Oh well , its a new day ! [:)]

Just make sure you practice a few times before commiting anything serious. I know [;)] I have a sherman covered with zim in my practice bins [(-D]

Yeah, the German armor bug bit me before I could finish that sherman [}:)]

Gt , finish the zim on it and make it a M4 that the Germans captured … Hmmm , i might use Fabios idea and do this myself !
