Browsing the net looking for pics of CVN70 Carl Vinson, I stumbled on this picture, however I have no clue what the sory is behind it.
Looks funny though those old warbirds on the deck of a Nimitz class carrier.

Off Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii, Summer 1995. Carl Vinson transported about a dozen WW2-vintage aircraft from San Diego to Hawaii for the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Roger that! I was on the "Chucky “V” as a lowly Second Class Corpsman working the flight deck as an Aviation Medicine Technician, before the dark side took me to the Marines… About the only thing we did better (fun wise!) was our world cruise.
Cool, thanks for the info, the Vinson is my first attempt at 1/720.
Normally I’m not into that scale but I bought the kit a couple of years ago for my son, however he got scared of by all the tiny little pieces and put it in the box again.
The unfinished hull has been laying around for that time now, and a couple of days ago, I decided to give it a try.
I’ll post pictures when I’m finished with it, if I can figure out how do that again.
Neat photo. I bet the sight of those Mitchells with all that runway must had Jimmy Doolittle’s ghost positivel green with envy! [:D]
Hmm, says I’m forbidden from that pic. Must’ve been something I said.
Kevin,
You must have said something bad, now I’m forbidden too!
