I had to ask. There is nothing more fun than peeling that colorful Christmas wrap back to find some pretty great kits. I myself was lucky to get a Tamiya 1/35 PzKpfw IV Ausf.J with photo etched zimmerit, Dragon 1/35 German Snipers '39 - '45 series, 1/72 JU-88 A-4, and a 1/72 F-22A Raptor.
With the economy like it is I never said anything about what I would like for Christmas but Santa really knows everything and I was totally surprised this morning with what was under the tree.
I found three different sizes of small chain. A spool of beading wire that looks to be just the right size for tie down rope. Another spool of beading wire and also in the package there was a package of brass wire pins. Excel knife handle and blades. Enough cash for two kits or three sets of Friulmodel tracks. And the best of all was the Blu-Ray edition of “Band of Brothers”.[snWow]
Man I made out like a bandit, hope your Christmas warmed your hearts as well. Tony Lee
Possibly the most unexpected gift of all: an autographed picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt. [6] Inside joke. A basketball hoop, wallet, some cool shirts and sweatshirts, but nothing modeling related. [:'(] That’s okay, got the family time.
My wife and I always buy our own gifts each year so I got my stuff already earlier in the month. We visited her family today though and I got a nice US history book “What Hath God Wrought” covering US history from 1815-1845 as well as a nice hooded sweatshirt that will be perfect for painting in the garage in the coming months.
Well theres not even a tree in this house. the builders are just finished. Presents, well my friend got me Terminator theh Sarah Connor Chronicles season one and two on Blu-Ray.Watching that now. Couple of more Blu-rays. I bought myself a new 32GB iPod touch, my old one is starting to go wonky after 4 years of abuse (a testament to the quality of Apple products). That was more of an essential purchase as I really do use the ol’ JoyPOD a lot.
Nothing modelling, well the stash is big enough anyway.
Among the family we just gave each other vouchers for DVD’s etc.
At the pub party the other night, well lets say the beer flowed wild and free.
My new wife and I decided we already had what we wanted, each other!
The stash is growing by itself, I have 25 years of accumulated tools, and only require reference books.
I found her a commemorative gaming token from the old Westward Ho Casino. She began her career at the “Ho” 20+ years ago. She was taken by surprise, and adores the thing. It’s already on the mantle!
She said she didn’t think anything was left of the place, so it is very special to her.
Merry Christmas if you are still in the time zone and if not then hope you had a nice one. I got some real nice stuff from my lovely girlfriend. I got the Sweeney Todd DVD, a nice pair of Steve Madden zip front boots that are a combat style and already distressed. An awesome book published by New York’s MOMA [Museum of Modern Art] that is a retrospect of Tim Burton’s work currently on display, a nice pair of Fossil shades, a pair of jeans, and a Horror Movie / TV show theme soundtrack CD with Twilight Zone, Munsters, Outer Limits opening tracks etc. She hooked me up big time plus a Nine Inch Nails double CD set. I also got some tools and work gloves and stuff plus some homemade Keilbasa from a Polish butcher shop my G.F’S Mom shops at, Christmas was awesome! Jim R.
Ouuuu, I love TSCC! Gotta love Lena Headey and Summer Glau(heck that’s who my avatar is.)[H]
Under my tree, I got some nice shirts and a 20 year old vintage bottle of Gucci cologne(don’t ask.) Best gift was the one I bought myself, Band of Brothers on DVD.
I got a nailgun and air compressor…to power my new airbrush! [:D] (The compressor powers it, I’ll probably give the nailgun and limited rights to the compressor to my dad). I also walked away with 2 sets of german tank crew Revell and Dragon(one of which I bought myself one of which I’m gonna trade in). A dragon Panzer IV, some operation cobra Germans by Dragon, and A Colbert Nation hat. (My brother also got Assassin’s creed II and I shall mooch it as I do all his video games.
