So, how many track links per side?

Hi!

While waiting for my new AB to arrive I continue (the never ending) build of my Jagdtiger porsche.
Indy links ofcourse of the porsche type… [banghead]
I would like to put it in an abnormale (or is it normale…) surface, ie a dio where the Jagd is on a rough terrain. this way I could extand the potential of the indy links. the problem is the nomber per side.
Yes I understand it would vary between very tense and very loose tracks, so I’m looking for the MID nomber. the reason I need to do so, is because I’ll need to fit the running gear to the ground, and I forsee the problem with making the sag at the upper side of the track.

The only reference I can find doesn’t give a set number, but state’s 47-49 double links per side.

Someone else may have better luck.

Shahar, this probably won’t help much, but I keep the old vinyl tracks from my kits so when I’m not sure how many links I need I lay them down next to a run of indy links and that gets me in the ball park for correct length. The number shouldn’t chnage just because of uneven terrain. The slack should be taken up by the suspension.
