an Iwata compressor. finally no more throwing away money using those compressed air cans for my single action Badger. and,
a new Iwata Eclipse double action airbrush. woohoo! now i can paint “real” camouflages (ie: free hand) without using Sticky Tack.
I burned a big hole in my plastic (the card, not the model jets) with this Cdn$400 purchase. No more new kits for a while, looks like I actually have to build my unbuilt stash this time. haha.
The real surprise is the wife didn’t even freak out when I told her I just bought another airbrush to replace the perfectingly functioning Badger which is only bought back in January. Sweet.
I recently (last month) made the jump to a decent airbrush and compressor - you won’t regret it.
May I also suggest (if you haven’t already) to start using acrylics, airbrushing is soo much cleaner and easier with water-soluble paints, it used to be my most dreaded part of modelling (spray cans, thinners, paint and mess everywhere), now its the best bit [;)]
What compressor did you get? I have an Iwata brush and am tired of adjusting the pressure on the big compressor. I was looking at the silver jet, which would be perfect for me being 119 US dollars. Bryan
