SMJmodeler here! Are the armor guys I remember still here?

Hey guys! It’s been about10 years since my last armor build. I’m wondering if some of the familiar names are still around. If you remember me come check in and say hi and let me know what you’re working on.

I’m still here,since 2003,many have moved on,but a few are still here,along with many new members.Welcome back.

I’ve been around here since 2009, but didn’t start posting until last year. I can however say “Welcome back” and hope that even though some of the people have changed, you will still find this forum a great place to participate. Looking forward to seeing some more recent work.

Welcome back. There are a few armor modelers on here. Some are from the old FSM world

Been here since 2003, now I feel old,

I hate to say it, but it’s the same for me. I remember your name, but no builds of yours come to mind. It’s great to see a familiar name on here from the old days. But as you see, there are not many of the old crew left on here. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

My last build was the pinnacle of my model building. I won the best weathering award at an AMPS event in Danbury, CT. It’s was a Tiger I…if I can figure out how to copy/ paste a picture I’ll add it to this thread. What was your last build?

Hey @Sjcmodeller - I recall your name as well from my early days here on the forum but I’m not sure if we ever crossed paths directly. In any case I do want to see that Tiger I!

You should be able to simply drag and drop or copy/paste an image into your reply here from a folder on your PC.

I figured it out…simple cut & paste.

Anyway, this is my Tiger I - Mid that took the Best Weathering Award at AMPS. I have always loved weathering my builds and this award is my most prized. I may have documented the build way back when on this Forum. Thanks for looking.

I’ve been here since 2006, but mostly post airplanes and an occasional ship. I did, however, build
a couple of Tamiya Japanese tanks in the last couple of months while recovering from back surgery. Posted on the Japanese group build. Got a few more in the stash. And I agree–some of the old guard have left or passed on. Regardless a hearty welcome back! Nice Tiger too!

Hello SMJ. Been on this forum during your time, building WWII armor and planes. Had been away for awhile myself, but here I am again. Kind of restructured myself, mostly building Sci-fi and 1/24 vehicles now.

Beautiful looking Tiger, love that weathering.

I’m in and out, been around since 2006… wow. Your screen name is familiar.

Howdy ho and welcome back to the home! I’ve been a member since 2003.
Even though I continued to build I haven’t posted here for a while but got back into the swing of posting about 3ish years ago.
I concentrate mainly on military aircraft and armor second then if I’m up to it, cars.

Here are a few of my latest builds..

  1. Hasegawa’s 1/48th A-4F Skyhawk
  2. Tamiya’s 1/48th P-51B Mustang
  3. Hasegawa’s1/48th Kittyhawk Mk. IV
  4. Tamiya’s 1/48th Jeep w/trailer(Bandai)
  5. Tamiya’s 1/48th Marder III
  6. Revells 1/25th 2n1 69 Chevy Nova

Love your Tiger!

Happy Modeling,
Mike

I remember you. Not your builds but certainly the name. I’ve been here since 2003 but you won’t recognize the name because I changed it. Used to be cwalker3 but never posted much. Welcome back and that’s one pretty Tiger.
