small scale ships ???

Another of my weird dio ideas as a break from museum work.

The lindberg HINDENBURG,suitably adapted and added to will be placed in a sea-scape to portray a crashed ARK type spaceship.It will mean adding lots of spares box bits and plastic sheet but what I really need to convey the size is a fleet of Navy ships surrounding it:-))

Had a look at the small Revell mini-ships but they are too big! and mainly WW11 vessels.

The available metal ships in 1/1200 are just a bit too pricey for what is a bit of fun.So any Ideas???

I’m not trying to be rude but, what is a ARK type spacecraft any way? [?]

also I was thinking that you could use axis and allies boardgame ships or maybe scratch build some of the ships that you perfer and you can even make them scale that way
