Shuttle Carrier Aircraft(SCA)

I have the Hasegawa’s 1/200 Space Shuttle Orbiter and a Boeing 747. I’m planning to convert the 747 to a SCA N911NA. My only concern now is reference. I have the “Space Shuttle…” book by Dennis Jenkins. But it doesnt have enough reference for the SCA.

Anybody knows where I can get a good reference for the SCA? Specially color reference and a good pics on the “Orbiter Support Struts” and the additional “vertical fin” on the 747?

Anybody? Please.?

Here’s a link to the NASA photo galleries for the 747 carrier:

There is a 1/100 paper model of the SCA available free through the Space-Paper-Models Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Space-Paper-Models/). Join the group (it’s free), then go here to download the files: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Space-Paper-Models/files/Shuttle%20Carrier%20Aircraft/.

Print the files, then take them to a Kinko’s and copy them at 50% reduction. You’ll then have 1/200 templates for your model.

There are also some great photos of the SCA on Airliners.net: http://tinyurl.com/yzumczj

Thanks guys for the link. [:)]

I also have a couple of links for you:

/forums/1160306/ShowPost.aspx 002. 747 SCA.rar, is what you are looking for. Among other things, it contains a walkaround of N911NA

I hope you can use them
