Show your Revell/Monogram builds

Monogram 1/48 JU-52. What a big beast this is. One of their finest kits I believe

Steve

Mr Squid, that really is one odd looking bird![:O] But it certainly has it’s charms as well. Steve, your R/M builds look great! How was that Super Hornet as a build?

I built 3 Bf-109G6 for a Reich Defender GB. Simple kit but very nice with a few ad ons to spruce it up and just as good as the expensive kits out there today

Steve

Hey Stick, it was a great build and the detail was great. Only problem is the fit of the nose section but nothing that can be overcome with patients. The IP has 2 different decals for if the bird is on or off, very cool btw and detail through out was great. I did use aftermarket decals on it. Compared the the same Hasegawa for the price I will stich with the Revell any day

Another 1/72 RoG, a FW-200

Steve

This time its a 1/48 He-111. Another great kit with great detail all over. I used aftermarket decals on this one also

Steve

This one is the Monogram 1/48 F-4J, again I used aftermarket decals of VF-31

Steve

Now for the C-47 done up for D-Day. Also a great kit with all the troops and crew that come with the kit makes for a great diorama possibilities. Can you tell by now that I like the Revell/Monogram kits.

The Monogram SBD Dauntless

Steve

If you want to see it you will have to go to my WIP since it is the Eduard kit. I am planning on adding the Monogram one to my stash on Hammers recomendation.

Steve,

I really like your builds. The Condor came out great and I love the Tomcatter F-4. That was my Dads sister Sq back in the day.

ME 262. I actually had the Tamiya offering right in front of me at the store while shopping. I decided on the Revell for it’s price and don’t regret it. OOB except for some PE radars added in a ‘what if’ configuration. All panels opened are hinged and working too.

Built this one years ago too. Never even got around to weathering it or adding the rockets.[:$]

Yes I can! [:D[[:D[[:D[

all of yours are beauties![H]

Thanks Herc, I did the F-4 for a pilot of the squadron who is a good friend of mine and I have built 3 F-4s for him. Most were Hasegawa but this one was the Monogram, for the money the R/M kit can hold its own

Steve

Thanks Stick, that is only the tip of the iceberg but I dont have photos of all the kits Ive built but I do have more comming. I believe you can not go wrong with them and they are the only manufactor that cover a lot of subjects

Steve

I can second that recommendation. I built mine 95% OOB with a bit of scratch built dress up detailing here and there, a resin seat with Sutton harness (love those True Details seats, 2 for a song…), and AM decals. My next will have more upgrading added, building on what I did withth my last. I have heard that the Eduard kit has a few fit issues.

Yes it does… the wing bieng the most egregious, notihing a little putty and some swear words couldn’t tame.

… we need re inforcements!!!

…I have some…do you mind if they`re pics of ceiling hangers? ( With lots of natural weathering)…[:D]

Bring 'em on Trouble!
