Show us your armor collection!

Hey all,

Recently took some pics of most of my tanks(I dont have a whole lot but they’re still awesome to me)[:)]. So’s I thought hey why not ask everyone to show us some pics of their collections. Lets see what everyones interests are, what everyones quality of work is like or was like since alot of people put there models on the shelf in chronological order. Lets see your tanks![tup]

Heres mine:

-Alex

Alex, Good idea. These are what I have built this year so far.

Ttman, doc, nice collections you both have there! There’s a strange vehicle (to me) in each collection…Ttman, what’s that huge gray open topped vehicle? Is it a Dicker Max? Doc, you’ve also got an open topped vehicle on a Pz.38(t) chassis…???

This is an older photo, but it hasn’t changed much. Unfinished builds on top, finished on the bottom

This is the newest addition.

Cool stuff guys.

Here’s where the majority of mine live.

Here’s my one and only, it lives on my desk.[:D]

Alex I’ll get some pics of my stuff and post it. Nice idea by the way[8D]

Just about my entire collection (with some arty and softskins mixed in) can be seen here… Most of them completed oh so long ago.

Agentg has a good idea too. What lives on your desk? Here’s my desktop companion. It’s white metal, so it’s also useful as a paperweight…oh well, can’t get in to photobucket at the moment…

Cool idea, I’ll take a shot and post it in a bit…

its tough to show em all.these are the few on photobucket.theres lots more but these are most prominent,oh and theres a photo of who your dealing with here to.personally i hope that manstein and several othrs show us what there collections look like.modeling is like building cars, its never finished.styrene forever.yours truly greg.[bow][tup][tup]

Hey guys, lots of responses pretty quickly! Thanks for posting everyone, I’d be really happy to see even more pics come in. Everyones collections look great.

Doc, I love that Hetzer, what kit is that?

Bufflehead, Beautiful Tiger tank two-tone camo scheme. The open-top vehicle in my photo is Trumpeter’s Sturer Emil kit, pretty easy to find since it is the only one available.

RBaer, Great stuff man, I wish I had a nice display case such as yours!

Minimortar, WOW

Agentg, Nice work on the troop carrier, the name escapes me, but I do know it is currently in service in Iraq.

Detailfreak, Beautiful StuGs, among other things. Keep em’ comin’!

-Alex

Lot’s of cool stuff!

Ernest, That’s Cyberhobbies “Aufklarungpanzer”, I believe four made it off of the production line.

Alex, It’s kind of a Hetzer on steroids. It’s Trumpeter’s E25 Aufs.B, never made it out of production.

Well, here’s my collection, in chronological order from when I started four years ago up to my latest one. Most of these have been sold, so they technically aren’t part of my collection anymore, but since I built them I figure they still count.

I have 11 more over 90% complete…but as I get better, I build slower and don’t call it done as soon as I used to [;)]

Opel Blitz truck, Eastern Front 1944

StuG III, Oberwachtmeister Hugo Primozic, Eastern Front 1944

SdKfz 222 Armored Car, Tunisia 1943

Brummbar, Sturmpanzerabteilung 216, Kursk 1943

KV-II, Finland 1940

Panther G Late, III SS Pz.Div. Totenkopf - Budapest 1945

M3 Stuart, Imperial Japanese Army - Phillippines 1945

Marder III, Panzerjager Abtielung Das Reich - Germany 1945

Tiger I Late Version, Haupsturmfuhrer Michael Wittman - Villiers-Bocage, Normandy, 1944

M4A3 Sherman (105mm Assault Support), 756th Tank Btn. - Germany 1945

Tiger II Ausf B, sPzAbt 506 - Berlin area, 1945

SdKfz 184 Ferdinand, sPzJgAbt 653 - Kursk 1943

Hopefully you can see at least some improvement, I do think I’ve gotten better since that decidedly mediocre Opel Blitz [;)]

Psssst…Hermes isnt that a Krupp protz [:-^]

__Hermes,__Another great collection! I do believe that is a Krupp vehicle though[;)] I’m really loving that Elefant. I’m a pretty big fan of anything that has to do with the battle of Kursk.

Doc, Thanks, I thought it was a Hetzer, I though the E-25 was MUCH larger than that! Ah well, I might look into getting a kit for that now. Since it wasnt in production, it would allow for alot of imagination.

-Alex

Yeah, it is a Krupp Protze. Built it so long ago, can’t even remember what it was called… [D)]

I’ve kept a spreadsheet tracking all of my builds since re-entering the hobby in 2002 and the total built kits (including some wingy thingies) stands at 94…so I’ll only show the most recent stuff that’s in the protective cases. [;)] I apologise for the difficult view/angle, but since the cases have a mirrored back, it was tough to get a good shot with the lighting and at least allow the items in the case to be seen vs. what’s being reflected from the mirror. [(-D]

Not pictured but under its own case is a BR-52 pulling a Pz IV-E on a flat car along with a low-sided car with a Flak 38 and other gear as a small dio. I also have a 1/35 Leopopld sitting over my desk along with 11 other various vehicles sitting on the desk shelves as well.

Good gawd! [:O] It’s like a museum there Bill! [bow]

Wait 'till my wife looks at this! [(-D]

Bill, [wow][bow], just wonderful what you have done. I see you’ve built the 1/16 T-34(Gawd I would love to have one of those) as well as the huge Morser Karl self propelled mortar. They must have been challenging. I also see the Dragon Tiger 1 Initial Version, and I have to say that has got to be my favorite kit ever, fun to build, fun to paint, and even fun to re-do(Had to redo the paint scheme on the turret a couple times because of an accident). My tiger 1 initial is actually the tank in my signature, and that is my favorite picture of it! Its also the second tank from the left in my pic at the top.[:D] Basically, that thing is my baby[:D]
