Some of you may be familiar with a recurring thread I call “mold shop R/X w/ Rabbit.” Most of these posts die rather quickly. I’ve been preparing an illustraded tutorial on RTV “matrix” molds, this is proving a somewhat ambitious endeavor. So do I take the time & trouble to illustrate and publish and post it, only to turn gray in a week?. Just a post saying “cool” or “thanks” or “Hey Rabbit your a jacka#@.” to keep the thread going. So let me know yes or no, and I’ll take it from there.
I’m going to say yes.
Not only would I like to see that, you could email it to me as I’d be extatic to post it on my clubs web site. I also know a few others that would do that too.
I would be very interested in this thread. Would it be posted here in techniques? Just wanted to be sure I didn’t miss it.
To DrewH and daywalker, thanks for your replies, thats encouraging. Daywalker; Yes if I do it I’ll post in techniques. DrewH; I’d be glad to PM you just teach me to multiple post. There is a caveat, that it will take a while to execute, so be patient.
No problem! I’ve been wanting to start molding and casting my own parts, but I know zilch about the process. I’ll keep my eyes peeled here for it. [tup]
I’d love to see it. You might want to consider making a web site. It’s really pretty easy and it’s free, and you can add the url to your signature here. That way it would be more permanent and easy for others to find. And, you can tweek it if you think of something new. That’s what I’ve done and it was fun.

Hey Rabbit, you’d be a ******** if you didn’t put it up. That’s info we could use!
After reading your other posts on the subject, pictures would help. [:)]
I’m looking for a way to mold (copy) 1/48 pilot figures for aircraft, so I’m very interested.
If you like in addition to posting it here, I could host it for you. My website is http://www.happinessismandatory.com/misc/Models_index.htm I have been planning on a tutorial section and I would be happy to host it for you. If it is not in HTML format you could describe the layout and I could make it for you. What ever you would like to do.
I would like to see it. I have only make 1 sided molds, and just 2 double side molds. All my mold making knowledge came from here http://www.castlemolds.com/moldmake/moldmaking.html
Thanks
Well when I posted this thread I gave myself a mental threshold of six, so by a margin of none the ayes have it. I spent all day making such a mold at work and photoed most of the proscess. By next week I should have all my imagery and text complete in raw form. As to your offer Greasy. I’m pretty unsavvy of such things so if you could email me breaking down how to/tutorials, I’m sure it would be of great help and benifit to the readers.
That’s great. I look forward to seeing it…
Hello,

Oh yeah! I cast lotsa little things for my modeling adventures! Especially figures! Getting the mold right is the toughest part! I’d really use and appreciate such a thread.
