I was always told you paint then gloss then decal then gloss then weather then dull coat. Now if your using vallejo pigments like light sand should i dull coat the kit after i use pigments to seal the pigments in or is there a way i can seal the deal without losing much of the pigment
Using dull coat will lesson the effect of the pigments,I have not found it necessary to seal my pigments.careful handling is usually enough to avoid damaging the pigments for me.
Also,I use dullcoat before the pigments,I don’t apply pigments to gloss finish.
Same as Tojo. I add the pigments as the last step. If i want a heavy build up, i mix them in water, with a small touch of washing up liquid.
Do some tests on a mule if you have one available.
last time that happened i got kicked LOL
Thats pretty funny, picturing putting pigments and dullcoat on a mule !!! [:D]
i named my mule rico and i tried but he dose not Like vellejo sand LOL
That is a funny thought.
No overcoat. Just limit handling.
I apply a sealer over pigments-I use pastel chalks. But it means that I adjust the tones, to account for the effect of the matte sealer over the chalks.
