Should I buy Zvesda kits?

Do you have good or bad comments about Zvesda kits before I buy!

Thanks a lot!

I think you should give them a try. I have built a T-34 (unfortunately no longer in my colection) and a M-3 Scout Car (the same Italeri mold). In my experience, are a little tricky, many flash, sink holes, pin marks, etc, but can be turn into nice models. Here a pic of my Scout Car, built as a chilean vehicle in the 70´s, was built OOB:

Hope it helps

Cheers

Back in the pre-internet days, Squadron had the (now much maligned) T60 kit on sale every month for about $4.00USD, how could you go wrong? It took a bit of work, but turned out OK afterall.

I have the Italeri-boxed Zvesda BT5 and it looks fine in the box.

I also have the Zvesda-boxed Italeri Semovente, it’s a jewel.

As others have said, check the reviews for Zvesda AND Italeri AND DML - as Zvesda does them all - before you buy and you’ll do OK.

anyone can have a bad experience with an individual kit

but as long as the model looks like what you set out to build and you are happy

then almost anything is a good kit

you may have to put work into a certain kit

but would you rather put work into something and say it is yours or buy a more expensive kit shake the box drop it on the table and “puff” out pops a model that you did not put your soul into

Sounds just like my experience with Trumpeter kit. While I was building the trumpeter kit, I was ready to quit and move on to others, but now that I’ve finished it, I am glad I did it. It also turned out to be a decent kit as well.
