Ships of Scale Website - Updates

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pass along a Website that I have been working on. So far, it has two wooden ship kits featured. One has been built and the other is in progress. I plan to add a few plastic ones later. Take a visit to the site and let me know what you think.

I want to thank Mr. Tilley for all his help and expertise along the way and all the freinds that I have met here.

Dear Donnie,

Thanks for sharing, and many thanks for putting together such a great resource. Very well done.

One small link error that I noticed: When on the Sultana build log, if I click on “Next Page” from the first page it appears to reload page 1 again (although the header does say “page 2”). Page 3 appears to be fine.

Thanks again, Rick

Thanks Rick - I will look into this. It is so easy to miss something like this.

Donnie

unfortunatley, Page 03 got over written some how. Terrible mistake. It seems that I am going to have to re create Page 03 again as I can not find it. Sorry folks. This is what I get for making my site available too soon without checking. I manage this site from two locations, it could have been that I over wrote that page as I was doing maintenance on some things. I did have a page 03 according to my notes. I will try and get that Page 03 up and running soon. Please visit again at least on March 18 and it should be clear.

Donnie

I want to thank Rick again for noticing the problem with the duplicate page. I have now corrected the situation and all four (4) pages are back and in order again.

Donnie

great resource, thanks for sharing!

Hi Donnie,
Great job on the website, reflects the quality you put into your models!
I don’t know if you are aware of this site for detailing parts - as a model RRer 1st, and ship modeler 2nd, I often look here for something, it’s AMAZING the amount of detail parts available here. I bring this up as you were looking for eye bolts for your latest build (watching that closely - another beautiful build).

Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.

For what ever it is worth, I have added Lindberg’s Captain Kidd (also possibly has been identified as Wappen Von Hamburg) to my website. I have two pages up and I plan to add more as soon as I can get around to it.

Thank you for your visits

i like the Wappen von hamburg build. It’s on my list of “wants.” i also have two model kits from Model-shipways that’s similar to the Cannon Da Costa Americano. i’m pretty excited about them.

also some advice for the site, which is great looking. your “home” link didn’t work on the Cannon Da Costa Americano. also if i click the oter build logs the Wappen Von Hamburg link vanishes becuase it’s not linked to the other pages. really just small stuff.

I’ve made a couple of websites and know how tedious it can be at times to link everything together and get all the kinks worked out. it’s enough to drive me insane.

Hi enemeink,

you are very correct. There are a lot of tiny details that I have to watch on the site. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will work on that.

Donnie

For what ever it is worth, I have now add all pages to the Lindberg’s Captain Kidd Build Log on my website. This ship may also be identified as the Wappen Von Hamburg. For anyone interested in building this plastic version, then please feel free to use the site as the build log. I certainly hope that it helps someone.
