“Drifting” by Jimi Hendrix (Cry of Love album) and Sea of Delight by Brainbox (old 60’s Dutch rock group with Jan Akkerman on guitar). [:D] Oh yes, “Horse latitudes” by the Doors !
HMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm, , , no one even mentioned “Columbia the Gem of the Ocean”! ! ! ! !
And not least “American Patrol”, now how about also including “Rule Britania”! Of coarse the addition of the Richard Rodgers score does make it an impresive list.
Uh, , , , oh my, , , , “Yellow Submarine” also comes to mind![:D]
Overture to Der Fleigender Hollander (The Flying Dutchman) - Richard Wagner, the father of Heavy Metal).
Damn near makes me seasick!
Theme music from “The Trap” and “Song of the High Seas” - Ron Goodwin. Of course if the subject turns to aircraft then “633 Squadron” and “Aces High” by the same composer.
There was a song called “Brandy” by Looking Glass, or how about “Glass of Champagne” by Sailor (OK, it’s a long shot…).
Any Album by “Rush”,any of Beethovens Concertos or Symphonies. Also don’t forget that Kriegsmarine favorite that begins,“We all live in a yellow VII-C”…Regards,Roowalker
One of my favorites is The last farwell by Roger Whiticker, would love to hear just the instrumental, one can just picture the english warship fighting the rough seas…Victory at sea is also a must have. Karl
Ralph, I think I’d prefer to listen to one of those apalling ‘wrap’ singers (is ‘singer’ the correct term here?) all evening than five minutes of talk radio. If radio it has to be then 60/70’s rock will do fine.
