Sherman Track

Are the M4 Sherman T80 Track (Workable) (AFV Club ) any good?
What would say is the ones to use on the M4A3 Sherman?

I’ve got a set of the AFV T-80 workable tracks. They have seperate pieces per track section. The pad, end connectors, and center guide. Many pieces! Ejector pin marks on pads. Nothing bad but… I failed badly at these. I have yet to figure out how to get them together, on the the tank, painted, AND keep them together. I’m sure someone can give you(and me) more help with that.
The T-80 tracks are for the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspention,(HVSS). The M4A3 used varied tracks depending availibilty, conditions, suspention type etc.
You might try looking up the afv database website.
Good luck!

Hi old soldier,
I’d have to agree with mattew9, they are somewhat of a hassle.
The end connectors are suppossed to be a pressure fit to keep the track shoes together, but when you put them on they fall off rather easily.
I used AFV’s workable tracks for the M-60 are they were an absolute dream, so I was disappointed when I got the T-80 set.
Sorry I don’t have any information of a positive nature, but if you choose to go with them
be forewarned (I think) that it will be a slow, somewhat trying experience.
Good Luck,
Joe

Thank you both.[:D]
