Vonran:
Please contact me offsite. I have some addit info that could help. Also, there is a Sherman with the otther rocket set “Whizbang” (T-20?) that used to be at Aberdeen. Its mounting arms are the same as for the Calliope. There used to be pics up on the web at wwwtanks2scale.com but that site no longer works. Perhaps put up a request for pics of this on Missing Lynx could get you what you need. (I wish I had downloaded those pics for myself – I think the arms were spot welded to the turret side and to the arm, too-- memory tells me)

vonryan,
Glad you got what you needed. Hope things go well as you finish it up. I’m anxious to see it all painted up.
If my work was on the same level as your’s, I’d be content to wait before I asked for pictures.
Again, tremendous job.
Joe
awesome work looks great keep us posted.
Nice photos. Thanks for answering my doubt.
That looks like a clever way to add firepower to a tank. It uses the turret and cannon mechanism to aim and doesn’t seem to constrain it’s movement.
von ryan - contact me, I have some pics of the Aberdeen Sherman that could help.

That’s a heck of a lot of firepower there. Pretty fearsome, even in 1/35. Awesome job, Vonryan.
excellent build man. comin along very nicely
Vonryan, sorry about all the questions[%-)] Where do you finde Aves Apoxie[?] I like the slow drying time ,it should help when doing Zim.

I found this shove in the back of the forum.
I know this is an old thread but holy crap!
that’s awesome!
Holy Moly Vonryan, that is one outstanding Sherman.
I have been looking myself for the T34 Calliope with almost no luck. The Verlinden set you got is ancient history now (I cant even find any references for the Verlinden T34 kit). The only thing I could find along the lines of the Calliope was the Italeri Sherman M4A3 w/T34, but being OOP for some time now, eBay is the only place to find such a gem.
You are making great progress, very sharp details with the wiring. This is going to be one great build. I really wish that Italeri or Verlinden re-release these kits as the Italeri kit is #1 on my most wanted list.
Great work.
