Very nice, love the mighty KV5
Art Instructor is consistent in his great finishes now; he’s really developed quite a talent! Give the man a raise!!
lando452 - Thanks for your kind words!
Karl - Thanks for your kind and continuous support! AI’s style has changed over time as he developed and tried new things. His building speed is also amazing, finishing 6 armors every two weeks. He told his FB page’s fans that building models is his most favorite past time. And the pay is already good as he could build a dozen kits a months.
I have to agree with Karl-Art Instructor is building some very nice models.
MM - that Sherman is great. I have to agree with what Karl and Bob has already said.
Thanks bob and Chris for your kind words!
Wow, man. Those look great!
Hi,
Thank you for posting as always Mr. MM!
About the Sherman, the tracks should be a thigh fit right?
Not sure if this is possible to fix, AI will know. Are the tracks single length?
The pre shading is coming through to stark in my eyes, especially in the center.
Sorry to be a nag, would love to be able to display the same kind of technique but I am learning
Zack
leemitcheltree - thanks for your kind words!
Zack - thanks for your kind comments! I don’t know how fit Sherman tracks should be. This is a Dragon kit so they are probably not single length but individual tracks. If you try hard enough sooner or later you’ll be able to display the same level of technique. All the best!
I think the shading on the KV-5 is well done…subtle but effective. The Sherman’s shading is a bit too dramatic for my tastes, but that is just this old tanker’s humble opinion. Keep up the beautiful work…wish I had the time to build as many kits as you appear to build…
@Iowahawkeye: Model Maniac is a collector of built kits. He’s lives in the Philppines and has a few guys build for him . I recall his posting his enormous display cases in previous posts.
Iowahawkeye - thanks for your kind comments! If you are an old Sherman tanker, you must be over 90 by now. These are the work of “Art Instructor” who’s been building for me well over a decade.
Roy - I some times bought built kits offered by some modelers, but most of the time I ordered kits from Chinese, Japanese, Ukranian & HK sites and commissioned them to six modelers. I live in Bangkok, Thailand. The following clips show almost half of my collection:
