Sherman Firefly in progress

its taken me 5 hours to clean up and glue 6 tracks[xx(], im still thinging about those AFV clubs tracks[}:)]
ive taken the basket of the back of the turret and im thinking about making it into Sgt Gordons Firefly from 3 troop, A Sqd, Northamtonshire Yeomantry.
has anyone got pictures of his tank? ive only got a drawing of it,

Iano there isnt a counter weight for the gun on the Firefly like on the Achillies its as it looks now, and the paint im useing is Tamiyas spayed on, it might look glossey from the light or the camera?

Dwight Ta-ala from what ive read the british goverment was’nt very happy when the US stopped making the M4A4

J Hulk the tracks have to be spaced apart so its not even like any german tracks or the EZ8 where you just line them up and brush your glue on [:0] there EVIL[}:)]

LOL, my firefly is in the box still because of those damn 3 piece tracks.
5 hours, 6 tracks, LOL, thanks for the laugh (my kit stays in the box)

thanks for sharing,

You’re on a roll Jon !!!

It does get easier after a while. Keep a straight edge handy and do lots of measuring. When I built mine, I ended up with 2 long upper runs, 2 long lower runs 4 curved track sections to go around the drive sprocket & idler wheels, and 4 shorter runs to fit the whole thing together.

Here’s a couple pics of the DML indy tracks completed.

Patience, patience, patience. And add to that a little more patience and I think you will be most pleased with the end results.
