At this place and at this moment I would like to wish all of You happy Easter !

Really nice loooking Sherman, Piter! I’m 100% Polish too, so it’s nice to see one from our side! [:D]

Happy Easter to you too! Don’t eat all your chocolate on the first day! LOL!

Thank You ,I try to change pics to standard size now.

[tup] I’ve got to agree with my pack leader doog. Looks the part to me.

Tony the Mutt

Great build. I really like the outside pictures.

Nice work Piter! The only thing I can see that’s a little off is the track tension, there’s some sag that shouldn’t be there due to the “live” track system used on the Sherman family. Look’s like you pulled off the photos just right. [tup]

Normally I would say the same thing about the track tension, but I’ve seen a couple (only) pics of Shermans, still operational, with tracks displaying sag. One British and a few of Russian tanks in particular come to mind. I’m definitely not saying it’s the norm, however, as it seems to be very rare. I’m curious if it was a maintenance issue or not. A good example, Zaloga’s “Armored Thunderbolt” has a pic of an M3 Lee in British service that looks ready to throw the tracks. The pics of Russian tanks clearly show stopped vehicles, so it’s possibly not a motion-induced condition. Possibly very heavily worn tracks, desperately needing adjustment? Might be why it’s not a condition seen on US tanks…

All in all, a very nice Sherman, I think.[tup]

Wow Piter this is absulutely amazing! The biggest thing I notice is the amount of weathering and detailing you went through to make this look like the sherman in the photos! Even down to the littlest stains and all. Very nice. Also the track sag seems normal because I’ve seen it on old photos as well plus the photo of the tank you are depicting had some sag also. I’m very impressed by the build you have hear!

Looks great! I love the work on the numbers; definitely not decal perfect, I love it!

Clearly there is more sag than you would see in the vast majority of Shermans, and if this were a model of a “generic” Sherman, I would think the same thing. In this case though, Piter is modelling a specific tank, and the side photos of the actual tank that Piter chose to model show a near identical sag, so I think his model’s track sag in this instance is spot on.

Bravo Piter! That’s one of the better looking Shermans to roll through here[tup][tup]. Great job matching all the details of your build to the historical vehicle. I really like the weathering too. Excellent job.

Andy

The only thing needed is the correct colors for those tail lights; otherwise I’m with everyone else.

[#ditto]

The photos are great. Weathering and detail is excellent. The sag…I sure in between adjustments you could have seen exerything from tight to falling off.

The tail lights sould be Red on top left side and Black on the bottoms and right top.

Rounds Complete!!

After looking a little closer!http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/9279/mdakp6.gif.......here’s a bit of help for the next time.!http://www.usarmymodels.com/AFV%20PHOTOS/M4%20SHERMAN/M4%20Sherman%20Left%20Turret.jpg!http://www.innovationbyinstinct.com/services/hosting/clients/accountyp/status/DisasterMaster/%23t1-4.jpg

WOW! Very nice build I like how dull the paint looks how did you weather it?

[:)]

Well , shermans are like with a s…,depend what You eat ,and every day is different.

The same T34 . Lots of production version and field modifications.

The photo of the pistol port is supposed to show you that the raised lip around the hatch should be faired into the sidewalls of the turret. It was part of the turret casting and shouldn’t show any seam. Your M4A4 Crab picture shows the same feature.

Gee, I didn’t know that.

I’m really grateful for all notices and suggestions.I`m not a shermanoholic , but I like the shermi.

Aggregating all comments from different forums its possible to write a long list of errors in the Dragons model . Boggies has 2 errors, the lack of drainage holes for fuel ,poor wheels etc. I correct for sure lamps colour- thanks , but leave another places.

Reasume , I enjoy to built my firefly ,but live shows nobody is perfect

Happy Easter [;)]

None of us are, Piterpanzer. It seems you really enjoyed your Firefly. We just added suggestions for your next build. Best Rgrds
