So, I’m getting a resin Tank model kit. But not the type of tank you you would automatically think of when someone says Tank. Sadly, I have zero knowledge of camo schemes and only have a concept/fantasy idea I am aiming towards based in reality. In my head I am seeing German crosses and a Dark green tri colour camo with no sand colour similar to Nato for the body with an unpainted welded steel chassis. What would the far more knowledgeable modellers suggest that might fit that bill if any such scheme exists??? any links or photos which be greatly appreciated.
I’m not sure what your looking for, but you say your making a fantasy scheme, but you want German tri-color? These are the colors for that, RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb,RAL 6003 Olivegrun, and RAL 8017 Rotbraun, those colors are available from many paint makers. If it’s fantasy, then just put down a pattern.
If you want pics of actual German WWII tanks with tri-color camo just Google them
Welcome to the forum! Maybe a stupid question, but have you used the search feature to see if anyone has posted pictures of the tank you are working on? Or maybe a paint scheme similar to it?
Another option is to go on to scalemates.com and look up the specific kit you’re building. Scrolling to the bottom of the page, you’ll find links for reference material that’s available. You might even find references to old Fine Scale Model magazines
which can be purchased digitally.
Yes,he did mention NATO colors

that look fairly close to what I was thinking. Would it be appropriate to put German crosses on it and what style?
4th image is near perfect. would you see this camo with German cross markings??
“Tank” type is in first picture above. Yup is a heavy hitting race car but it would so cool in camo clours
Yup, like this on the side of the turret. (Of course your’s doesn’t have a turret, but you could perhaps put it on the side or something.)
Sure, you’re looking for fantasy camo scheme almost anything goes. What era German crosses are you thinking of?
